Well, sounds like the peace and quiet in my house will soon be gone not to mention the tidiness.  The girl child wants to come home to sort out her life.  Since her room has been converted to my craft space, I am not sure where she will sleep.  Oh well, guess that can be figured out when the time comes.

On the crafting side of my life, I have been in a bit of a funk.  Not sure why but it might be the weather or the fact that my new stitching supplies have not shown up and have no indication of shipping any time soon.  SIGH!  It is sooo hard to wait!  I will actually finish a stitching piece tonight.

Just a bit more and this one will be done. 

Here is my blackwork piece that was started in 2004 that I have decided needs to be finished this year.

Doesn't look like much right now, but some time soon it will.  : ) 
I did get a sweater that has been on my needles since 2009 finished but still need to block it and sew it together for it's debute picture.

Alas, no pictures today.  Had lots of plans for my weekend but as so often happens my plans change.  Got called into to work for a bit and then had a call from my parental figure.  The parental figures came over to help in my yard.  I am not one to say no to help for sure.  My dad and son worked on digging the retaining wall I have been working on while mom and I did general clean up that was much needed.  Very excited with the progress. 

Really want to cast on a new project since digging around in the closet for something to wear for church today once again revealed a lack of transitional type clothes.  They are either to warm or to cool for the current weather.  Sigh.  Staying true to my goal though and will finish the sleeves on the project cast on almost three years ago.  I think I am finally close.  Will put on "Doc Martin" and sit in my chair and work on them the rest of the day.  Have to get them done as my lace sweaters is singing loudly in my ears to be on my needles.

On the stitching front, I am working on a blackwork piece that I started many, many moons ago.  I have decided it must be finished this year.  I will post a picture soon. 

Progress

Rough week at work but it is now the weekend.  Started my day with the usual coffee and blog reading.  Decided to take a trip to my favorite garden center to begin the battle with the underground rodents in my yard.  Yes it is a definite "Caddy Shack" experience at this point!  They are every where and need to go this year as I would like a lawn and some raised beds.  So armed with some poison pellets and a shovel, I went out in search of tunnels.  Very excited as I found a good one. : )

I stitching news, I finished a small project and the stitching on my "Zucca" piece.  Now I am in search of the perfect frame.
