Finally have a finish! Took me far longer than I thought but don't get as much time stitching.
Ta da!
Can't wait to get it framed.
Have decided to revisit this one started a long you time ago. At least 4 or 5 years.
Has been a challenge so far. Have only been doing samplers and tapestry type stitching. The mistakes I have found and made some far. Gesh! Nothing like having to rip out like 50 teeny tiny stitches. Took over an hour!
Most of my weekend free time has been spent out here.
Lots of exercise with digging ditches and cleaning things up. So peaceful!
Also good practice for me as I would like my own farm some day.

Busy, busy, busy
Has been a busy, crazy month. Went by so fast. But managed to finish a UFO and a project started in December. A little late for Christmas but will be able to hang it next year. Will be on the lookout for a frame.
This is out of a Cross Stitch and Needlework magazine.
This is my UFO. A kit I started in 2009.
This is my current work in progress. Song of Solomon sampler I am stitching with my Facebook group Embroidery Motifs from Old Dutch Samplers. Has been fun as we all picked our own colors and fabric so they are all different. Trying to finish in time for the next sal but not sure I will make it. Only have 17 days and life is full of activities.

Happy 4th of July!!
Wow it has been a long time since I have posted. Life has been a bit crazy with all the spring activities. Created raised beds in the back yard for a garden this year. Slowly recapturing the land back there. Have been planning more beds and things for next year. Get impatient though because I would love it to be beautiful right now. Here are a couple of the beds so far.
It is a work in progress at this point.
Did get a finish worked in there. Made another bear and blanket for my boyfriend's great grandson.
Started this Laura Parin design Monday night of this week.
Here is the progress today.
I am sure there is way more I could share. Went to Kentucky last month to see my daughter. We had a lot of fun seeing things around her area. Would have liked to see more but there wasn't enough time. We went to the Jack Daniel's distillery which was very interesting and then we went to the National Quilt Museum. Beautiful quilts but no pictures allowed. Was kind of bummed about that. Would have liked to have the inspiration to look at.
Have a happy and safe day!

Moving Right Along
So Lola is moving right along these days. She is being so pleasant to stitch on. I know I am coming close to where I set her down because I messed up somewhere and can't find it though. I only have about a week left to work on her but today is a cooking day. Here is where she is as of last night.
On Friday, I will start a stitch-a-long with the Mystic Stitch facebook group. I spent some time winding all the floss and everything is prepped and ready to go. I am excited about it. So here is what I will be working on.
So that is my sharing for the day other than I managed to do two rows on the crocheted table cloth this week and I cast on a new sweater because I had nothing else to do. Haha...I actually couldn't resist is the whole problem.
Well, I am going back to my cooking. Taking care of potatoes today so will have hashbrowns and mashed potatoes prepped and in the freezer when I am done.

Catching up
It has been a crazy time in my life. Joys and sorrows combined. Life is good and back to more joys than sorrows at the moment.
A cute little bundle.
Here are some finishes. These will be shipped this week to the cute little man above.
Now that those are complete, I have returned to my old projects. I picked up Lola yesterday and made some decent progress on her. Must have needed her bright colored dress to work on.
That picture looks a bit odd since the fabric looks huge but it is only 14 ct. aida. Have a new phone I am taking pictures with and that might be why.
Also picked up my socks which have been languishing for months.
Made some progress.
Started one new project which is a knit-a-long. My friends and I started the Clapotis from the Fall 2004 edition of Knitty. I have started the third section on this one. Once again bright colors which I am loving.
The picture actually doesn't do the yarn justice.
My son has been in driver's ed the past few weeks. Soon I will have some new gray hair since I am the only one available for him to drive with. Remember my daughter's driving and it kind of freaked me out. Might get a lot of knitting done while he drives though as that helped to keep me calm when my daughter was driving. Love her but she scared me.
Will start a stitch-a-long with the Mystic Stitch facebook group on March 1. This will be my first time doing a stitch-a-long with people I don't know. Am looking forward to it.
Also have to figure out something for the man's birthday. Don't think he wants to admit he has a birthday coming. Guess I better get going as he will expect to see me in an hour and my hair is still wet.
Happy stitching!

Panic time!
The little bugger has decided to try and come a month early! Seriously not ready for him to make his appreance. She was sent home from the hospital for now but my fingers need to fly and I have a full day ahead of me. I am almost done with another leg for the bear. Just two more to go. Ugh!
